HELLO 2018, GOODBYE 2017!
The new year stands before us like a chapter in a book, waiting to be written. We can help write that story by setting goals - Melody Beattie
Three days before the year ends, I honestly don't know how should I feel with 2017. This year has been one of the best and worst times of my life. This is the year where I learned that you have to love yourself first before loving those people around you. Also, I learned that there are things that you can't force -- which (sadly) includes moving on. Last year, I told myself that my theme for 2017 is "learning the art of patience and discipline" and I'm glad to say that I've fulfilled both but I know that there's still room for improvement.
People close to me gave me these journals to support my recovery from depression. I write a lot but I've never tried journaling. I've always believed that there are things that we don't need to write but 2018 will be different since I'm going to start documenting all the good memories in order to appreciate and live life to the fullest.
HERE ARE JOURNALS I HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Because when you stop and look around. This life is pretty amazing!
I am sure that 2018 will be a busy year for everyone. The world moves so fast that we actually never have time to sit down and simply be thankful for the blessings we receive. My mentor has been telling me that I'm blessed but because of my current struggle, I don't see the beauty of the universe. So having a copy of this journal would be of great help because this will make you appreciate life. When you're feeling down it is nice to go back and read the things you are grateful for.
- How to use it: Everyday you have to write three things you are grateful for.
- Where you can find it: Noteworthy and National Bookstores
365 ways to a fearless life
As part of rebuilding confidence, this book will be handy since people don't have much time to read a lot of self-help books. This will serve as a simple reminder to boost your confidence. Some days this will give you challenges in order to boost your productivity and prevent you from procrastinating. Everyday, this book will give you tips and allow you to take brave actions that can lead to a successful and confidently beautiful life.
- How to use it: You only have to read one page per day. This won't take so much of your time because the fonts are relatively huge. Start your day by reading this everyday confident book.
A SENTENCE A DAY
for three years.
This is the most challenging journal for me since I have to finish this in three years. This journal was a gift given to me by a close friend and I think she wants me to develop a habit that would last that long. But honestly speaking, this journal would be a good exercise to create a habit. At the same time this would be a good reminder about the progress of my year and how to improve it further in the next two years.
- How to use this: You have to write a few sentences about your day and how it went. You have to keep this journal for the next three years because a year after you have to go back to the same page (i.e., date) to write how your day went.
There are a lot of journals, planners and books available but these are my favourites. What are the journals you're using? You might want to help me start bullet journaling. I want to learn that as well. Don't hesitate to message me if you want to recommend anything. I'm very open to know your views and what you think about creating a habit, rebuilding self-confidence and being grateful.
